Regarding upcoming Champion visual updates

Do we get anything when the next few champions get visual updates if we already own them? I know that when Sejuani and Karma got massive visual updates, old players got free classic skins for them, but other, less extreme updates didn't involve free classic skins. Poppy, Shen, and Taric have upcoming visual updates and I'm wondering if it'd be a good investment to get them now, since Poppy and Taric were low on my to-buy list but if there's a free skin out there for me, a bitch just might have to shell out his Zyra savings for those two.
