not all of you are, but why does it seem that whenever i play a ranked game, people have to be so cut throat and rude? i thought this was supposed to be fun? kinda bothers me that the nicer people to play with aren't ranked....what happened to my game?Amumu

Ranked is full of kiddos with MLG dreams. they truly believe they are almost MLG level and a bad team is holding them back. I watched an interesting Video about it from a guy on youtube named Gbay99. He makes quality videos on mostly league of legends theory; backed by a ton of research. You should look him up and maybe find the video Im thinking of.

Mostly people need to calm down tho and realize win or lose really at the end of the day means NOTHING. Unless you are pro player on contract you shouldn't care tbh. We will never be pro gamers win or lose elo will just be for showing off or bragging, until you grow up and don't have time for games anymore.

I really couldn't care less about climbing from plat to diamond or if I fell to bronze. I just play for fun and to win but it really doesn't matter at the end of the day it's just fun and games.

During University I cared a lot about ranked idk why, and as a result I was pretty toxic. Since then I have matured and I find myself mostly playing ARAM, also because people aren't MLG dream toxic children. Ranked is still fun for the competitiveness but the toxicity is a big downside.

Community took over. No control from Riot (Tribunal such useful). Bad players shouting to change the game according to what they wanted instead of being humile, accepting that they had to learn and work together. Riot accepting these terms.

Scumbags taking over.

People are toxic and angry in ranked simply because of what's at stake. Think about it. You're stuck in a match for the next 20-40 minutes at the mercy of your teammates (depending on your role and yes I know you mean a lot to the team as well). If you lose, you have just wasted 20-40 minutes of your time and even an hour for the setting-up/loading times. Then you lose LP. Considering if you're at a decent MMR for your league, you'll lose enough LP that you have to win two more games in a row to advance. The odds of winning two games in a row are lower than winning one game in a row. Although it isn't discussed. This is a huge part of toxicity. No one wants to waste their time, no one wants to have to work more for the mistakes of others. Sure the "God-Complex" can kick in where someone thinks that they are God's gift to League of Legends but I feel that even that is a small percentage of people. We don't really give it much thought but deep down, when you're losing, you know exactly how much work it's going to take to advance again if you fail. That's what make people so angry and toxic towards the littlest things. And when this attitude matures, they take it with them to all queues. That's all.
