Only if it does not have an animation.
If it extends the range of a single autoattack, then you'd want to do as much damage with a single hit, for which Lichbane AP sona with Luden's would still be better. Kind of like Playing AP Ezreal, with less range but sure to hit.

The problem with Sona right now on the PBE is choosing what skills to max in what order. Max Q first for lane? Sure. Now it's E or W. Weak heal and massive range or no range and massive heal. Sona wants both and fast. Healing because she builds Grail and then Ardent. But then the range of E is pointless Riot.
She needs the range on the E to be more like 60/70/80/90/100, having a better base to be useful early and mid game.
And yet she will still die to any kind of fast/mobile intiation.
Notice it says "Next basic attack" and changes the passive to tempo.
Its not linked to the Slow bonus for passive.
You could E Q into Blue power chord with bonus range. The lane phase intensifies
In mother Russia, the support becomes the carry.
