Its rare but yes i've seen some support pickers fight me for the role even when i give the role to them and their premade they still have the need to drop the F bombs on me.
Deep Terror Nami8 votesHappened fairly frequently prior to the New Champ Select; with no role preferences in matchmaking you'd get multiple in the same role all the time, and sometimes I'd have 3 Supp mains on the same team and nobody that knew how to ADC D: Some think autofill is horrible, but it's actually really convenient to not ever have this situation happen.

Deep Terror Nami4 votesYou get autofill protection by playing Support. They either hadn't been playing Support so didn't get protection, they got their secondary roles (which is not being autofilled), or you're mistaken.

I can play all 5 roles fluently, but I do have a preference order. I wish I could select 3 roles rather than getting my 5th best role in autofill, or pick fill and exclude my worst role as the 'secondary' option.

I miss old mordekaiser...that was one reason I liked him, he was a lane bully but at least he wasn't oppressive. He was just a "fight me at your own risk" champ like every top laner should be XD
50000000000000001 votesIt's just bad because you're not utilizing the gold income, and shared XP means it's harder to actually make use of the number advantage. You could try something with duo top, duo mid, or double jungle (which are all suboptimal imo since bot tower is fragile early), and that's gonna be better than having two supports and a carry in a single lane.
ZT Xperimentor1 votesIt's a tradeoff; you'd be pressuring bottom lane so much that someone would have to come down to assist, leaving their lane open to be pushed. Not as much gold but more manipulation of map pressure.
50000000000000001 votesIt's hard to 2v1 in lane, but it's much easier to 3v2 in lane, especially when the 2 has xp advantage. And any map pressure you would gain from having two supports is pretty much always gonna be less than having a jungler.

Even if their jungler is the one that has to come down to help out on the 3v2, that leaves his jungle wide open for your jungler to steal; not to mention if your middle or top laners are beating out their opponent, it's a won lane because their jungler can't show up to assist, or if they do then they loose bottom. Kills give plenty of exp, and towers still give a bunch of gold. Any & every team setup regardless of being meta, is going to require practice to be effective. Sure if you take 4 random people and start playing like they don't expect, of course it's going to go poorly.
50000000000000001 votesThe point of comparing 3v2 and 2v1 is that the advantage you'd get from having another support in bot lane is pretty small. It'd be better off just putting the support in mid or top lane to absolutely crush that lane, because the advantage you create from a 2v1 is stronger than the advantage you'd create from 3v2. And you'd have to pick 3 champions with strong pre-6 and kill the opponent repeatedly, because sharing xp means you'll hit level 2, 3, and 6 later than the enemy. And if you go even in lane, then you'd just show up to mid game with a significantly weaker team, since the enemy team has a jungler who farmed.

50000000000000001 votesAnd I'm saying it's difficult to pull off since you'll have to dive the enemy under tower repeatedly or try to force them to back often, because you'll get outscaled very quickly if you don't. And you have to win the lane hard, because the jungler can gank other lanes to create advantages elsewhere. It's a high risk, medium reward strategy.
ZT Xperimentor1 votesNot necessarily, simply zoning them from minion farm would cripple them, marksmen scale better from gold than experience anyway. Besides you're not always going to have two melee supports without poke either. As I already said, every strategy requires practice as a team to work in the first place. For example you could use vladimir as a support, but unless your teammates know (& can predict) how you're going to play him, it'll fail miserably.
