I was with 3 friends in a normal game. And the 5th first picks Darius. Our response was forming the comp around Darius going all ham in teamfights.

You don't know the fear of a Darius with a 99% speed boost when your team is hit by a Malphite ult. Its scary.

kiting isn't a weakness when you have any amount of tanks on your team kiddo.

I hope all certainlyT champs get gutted to hell and never played again so that he actually learns how to balance his champion on the drawing board instead of 1-5 years after its released

Being slightly less broken than other champs doesn't make them balanced btw. Just so you know.

How is Darius broken?

Someone has to fulfill "if they're in my melee range, I kill them" niche, and Mordekaiser apparently isn't allowed to fit that bill. Because of the nature of "If you're in my very limited range, you die" kit, he's a natural lane bully to other melees. Thing is: Kiting and minimal damage outside of melee range are very real weaknesses, and a tank can't always be there to patch it up for you. Just ask Jayce and Kayle how much they worry about a Darius -- especially in the laning phase. Oh, you want a melee that beats him? Yorick and Mantheon, with Jax going even with him.

A weakness is always a weakness, even if it isn't always a bleeding ulcer a la Spain to Napoleon. For every tank that can enable that Darius, there's someone that can disengage and make the tank's efforts futile and further prevent harm from being done by Darius. He really isn't broken. He's a lane bully and he's damn good at what he does - why is that apparently not allowed to exist in this game and called broken almost every time it shows up?

a champ that can 1v1 anyone else in the game including garen should not be able to easily catch people. if you die as darius early no worries you just hit lvl 6 and dunk them. if you die against darius early.... may god have mercy on your soul

Have you seen the legend of the late game Jax ?

He's has a low CD on his jump, and he can 1v1 anyone except a stacked Nasus and maybe Poppy .

then you realize darius can beat the ever living shit out of them for the first 30 min of the game

He can beat Nasus until he gets to about 250 stacks, which should take no more than 15 minutes. He can beat Jax until about 10-15 minutes, then they go even, then Jax starts winning. Assuming they don't do anything stupid and feed. He just plain counters Poppy, not much to be said there.

And I used Jax as an example because you said a good duelist shouldn't be sticky, well there ya go lol.

by the time anyone hits the point where they should be going even with darius if he hasnt already killed you then you are either down 40 cs or he is a trash darius

edit. i hate jax even more than darius though so arguing which one os more annoying top lane is kind of silly. they both are bs in different equally annoying ways

Yep. Jax is super easy to completely shut down in lane if your using a lane bully like Darius. I mean shut him down so hard he'll be 0/8 before 12 minutes.
