He just looks so disappointed after that. lol
He was going to be so awesome too.
"NINJA VANISH!....."
But if you're fed, you laugh as they drop free gold.
And free spellvamp.
I will pray for you
I have no idea why I'm being downvoted.
Akali can spellvamp off wards, so if enemies are dead she can just kill that pink ward.
Spellvamp only works with spells. Since you can only auto attack wards, she can only lifesteal off of them.
Durr, I'll just hide in a corner, dankz
Well at least you can admit your mistake and didn't delete your comment

ssssssorta....?
Anyone try playing her in Twisted Treeline Yet?
It's so fcking stupid. literally every time you smoke the enemy pops their trinket on you. Your shroud is literally just a placeholder all game because you never get to hide in it. i've been tempted to write riot about it because it's so broken on that map.
They should give back her combat stats for it just on that map.
She already has good combat stats you just can't go balls deep at level three anymore.
My point was that just for TT, they could revert Twilight Shroud to this:
While within the cloud, Akali is stealthed and gains 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 bonus armor and magic resistance.
...although they could always tweak the numbers.
By the time the bonus armor matters she should already be fed enough to smite anything that does enough damage to kill her.
The reason she's fine in TT is that every single bush acts a lot like her W. I know it's not the same but it does matter. Also making them trinket your W means they can't trinket bushes.
Also the less enemies at once the more broken Akali is so.... yeah I'm pretty sure she's fine.
Kung Pow, Enter the God Damn Fist.
This is what happens every time I play Veigar against Akali.
except for the fact that akali will rape your butthole
except for the fact that akali will rape your butthole
Its bad enough that one of her abilities blinks her to you faster than the speed of light, but she's one of those button-mash champs that tear through full-build tanks with 5 clicks, god forbid us not-tanks
If she's fed, if not then you've essentially just turned her into your own personal buffet.
If she's fed, if not then you've essentially just turned
heryou into ~~your ~~ her own personal buffet.
Just a bit o' fixin.
i would rape your butthole as akali so hard that you will remember the pain every time you see akali
You're funny. xD
I've yet to lose lane to an Akali. She can't out trade early. Force her to roam, take her towers. If your teammates are smart then they will eat her alive for being behind.
People forget how much Akali relies on that shroud to get her cooldowns up. Without it, she's near impossible to win trades with unless fed.
ERRRRRGH....ugh....
Karthus, no!
Stop yelling! Just because someone goes 'ERRRRRGH....ugh....' doesn't mean they're dead!
+1 for KUNG POW!

Full AP akali will still do more damage. This is just making her tankier, and more ad focused.

Thank you for looking at the stats only and then try to justify something from base assumptions without experience. If anything, this build increases her damage if you play it right, as you don't just button mash like ap akali, but this has many strengths over ap. One of them is that you essentially don't have to worry about cooldowns for damage, because you will be using empowered autoattacks and e, which is on a 0.6 second cooldown with CDR. This means that you rarely have to use shroud to wait for cooldowns, and never have to use ulti for damage, instead you have 3 actual gap closers/reposition tools which are not as essential to execute a target compared to ap akali, and instead give you tons of mobility. now, spamming e will cause you to run out of energy after about 6 uses, but if you are landing them with auto attacks this will already be enough to kill pretty much anyone. The reason you can get in so many e's is that by late game, you don't really use q as it is a waste of energy and the animation time. The reason I think this build works (if you can get to it) is because of the core items
. The hydra and iceborn together give you massive aoe damage on your autoattacks plus the reset from the hydra active, so when combined with the damage from the e spam, transforms her into an aoe death bot. The next three items are pretty variable, I like the three above because visage increases the healing from her passive spellvamp and built lifesteal, and the mallet + bork combo basically give her a permaslow on her autoattacks. Obviously doing this forsakes boots, but I think it's forgivable in some cases due to the 100% speed boost from w, her 3 gap closers with r, and the two active slows and the passive aa slow from this item build. You can swap out a lot of items though, such as
or even throw in some ap
. The build is pretty variable, but the idea is the same: akali can deal massive assassin damage without being squishy or relying on cooldowns to deal damage. You dismiss this because you haven't seen it before, or haven't seen it after her bufffs, but in reality this build is incredibly strong if you can farm well early (though that is true of ap akali as well)
Trust me, the build is extremely effective, and is great to offer some alternative strengths to her normal build. You laugh now but I am afraid of her getting a nerf due to how effective this can be.

I don't have to read this drawn out post to know what this build does for her. It gives her way more sustain and gives her more defenses. You are making her more about utility with items like
, and you are making her into more of a sustained damage champ than her super bursty AP build. The reason why people downvoted the build in the first place, is because it just isn't that good in comparison to AP akali. It's just like saying bruiser or tank
is OP, his kit straight up does better with a full damage build than the latter. It is mostly because if you wanted a champion to jump onto a target and stick to it until it dies, why not just play
. Not to mention, akali is already very item dependent and doing this build delays powerspikes even further than ap akali.
You say you know what the build does for her but I feel like you haven't really seen it in action because it hardly forfeits any damage compared to ap akali.
You say you know what the build does for her but I feel like you haven't really seen it in action because it hardly forfeits any damage compared to ap akali.
Also, if you advocate this build so much then how come you build akali ap when you play ranked?
Mainly because I don't really play her in ranked that often, and the reason is this. I rarely get the midlane pick unless I am first or second pick, and if you pick Akali early she can be countered with heavy cc, so really the last time I picked her for ranked was like a month ago. Secondly, like you said this definitely does delay her powerspikes and so I would rather pick a champion in ranked that can cs easily early such as Heimerdinger or Annie (that's how I finally got out of bronze was playing champs that have a super easy time geting cs). Now, I do think if I practiced I would feel good taking this build into ranked, but I haven't really been able to do that cause my internet has been awful when I've tried to play lately. But my current idea about playing her is this: obviously rush gunblade because no other item is even close to as good, then kind of farm and see how it goes. If I feel like I want to go ap as per normal, then I'll go for something like rylai's, abyssal, etc. and then of course stuff like early sheen is always good, and even a bf sword of tiamat pickup depending on the situation. I basically started doing this as a troll build that worked so well that I actually think it's as good as ap, so usually the idea is to see how it goes and if I can get enough farm, then I might try to go for ad. Another case where I would definitely want to go ad would be against veigar, because then his ult scaling doesn't benefit nearly as much. In any case, I would definitely say that even an ap akali needs at least a bloodthirster or hydra at the end of her build, and that's something I've almost always done is to throw on some ad to maximize her passive.
TLDR: I think that the build itself is good, but the situations for using it aren't, esp. considering the frequency of counters in ranked.
lol @ that half dead ninja on the ground trying to struggle his way up
I login just to say that KUNG POW is the best movie EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
