50% ability power

and there's no cap!

1500*50% = ~750 bonus magic damage with just one AA

Because Veigar wants to blow someone up with his Baleful Strike, Dark Matter, and Primordial Burst.... That shit hits like god dammed juggernauts at that point.

You don't want to be in AA range of your enemies, you always want to stay far away from them. Also, since you delete squishies you won't really benefit from it. Super effective against towers tho.

With a sheen you'll do an extra... ~60 to 95 damage with your autoattack every 2 seconds. Tons of damage for sure.

you dont even need sheen or lichbane. with how the towers take damage from mages now you just auto attack. late game veigar split pushes almost as hard as nasus does

It isn't even that bad if you can land your stun on multiple people to eliminate any possible threat. The only problem is that his auto animation is really slow and easy to cancel, most of the time you'll use up the stun duration doing your combo and running away.

Basically anything that adds an extra AP ratio onto his kit does a lot of damage because he ends up with so much AP that even a .2 ratio does respectable damage. The issue is that he doesn't really need more damage in his kit, especially not damage that puts him in harm's way (AA range). If you want better DPS with him just build CDR because it will increase the uptime of his abilities and give him more uses of his stun in a fight.

Its a good item to replace boots with late game. Other than that items with higher ap ( item 3089 item 3285 item 3165 item 3116 item 3135 ) work better since veigar rarely gets in aa range in the first place.

It's generally bad on Veigar because you try to insta-burst your target, and lich bane promotes spreading the spells. Not to mention you put yourself closer to your enemies so that you can auto attack, putting your fragile character at risk of immediate death.

Get rabadon's, a mana item, and void staff, and then deadman's plate alongside another tank item and boots.

Congratulations, you are tanky yet have as much if not more AP than the regular mage, and still delete people.

Once upon a time before they rebuilt Lichbane I would always get it on Veigar. You'd build full ap, and knock down towers and inhibs with two or three AAs.
