Actually it's not so hard to achieve gold in your placements, I got gold IV back in the day for winning seven games out of ten, and the same thing happened to my friend. Trash MammaI2 votesI won 7 out of 10 of my placements and got placed in Bronze 1...I reached silver 1 last season. The previous season before that I got placed in Silver 4 and I won like 4 of my placements.
It's at the point that you just have to try your hardest and deal with it wherever you get placed cause it'll always be horribly wrong.
(Am now gold though so w/e)

So, if you reached silver 1 last season, but then tanked during the preseason, your MMR was probably bad to start the reset.

Ryzing2Diamond1 votesDon't worry about it. You can reach gold easily! Reaching high level play isn't that hard, the hard part is getting there while playing every role. That's something i'll never be able to do.
That said, being a one trick and focusing all your talent on one champion and their strengths, you can reach any elo.
