They also ruined Dawngate.
The game was pretty good, but what made it special was the focus on lore, and the amazing community.
EA was financing a fantastic team of developers (Waystone Games) who were about to release the 1.0 of the game, the big big official release after 2 years in Beta.
The update was ready, suddenly:
"We're sorry, Dawngate didnt bring us much cash as expected. We're now closing it, completly ignoring the fact that it could bring tons of money after being officialy released, and you cant say anything about it since we finance that game" - EA
I never played any EA game before, but heard their reputation. One of my friend was tempted to play it, but refused when I told him EA was implicated.
It seems he was right...
