What's even worse is when they feel they don't have to dodge, and you should just shield them when they have bad positioning.

I once had a Lee Sin saying things like: "This Morgana has Black Shield but doesn't use it." "OMG Shield me." "Garbage Morgana." etc...

He really must be blind because I saved his butt so many times with Black Shield. And I guess he forgot that there's four other people on his team too that could need my support. Some people can just be terrible to play with in any position.

I wasn't really clear. Simply walking or a windwall I will do if I can, but an expensive ability like Flash or an ultimate is risky since if it fails you lose a teammate and a long cooldown

If there;s a good chance you save your carry by flashing, and it's the only option you have to save him, you should. If you can save him by walking, sure, but if you can't, flash for that save.

I just played a shen jg game. The enemy yas kept ganking top and every time he did I tried to flash E him. I wasted 4 flashes because he just plashed as I did and got my top laner.
