My advice is the opposite of yours! I always tell people to leave ranked and go do Normal or ARAM :D

I am afraid your advice is most malicious. The additional level of responsibility will snap people right out of that rut of theirs. One should only play normals during a winning streak.

When you say my advice is "malicious", I don't mean I tell people in-game that they're doing bad and need to go back to normals. I'm saying that when someone asks for advice on how to stop tilting, I tell them to get their groove back by playing in a less stressful environment.

Which is like giving like giving a child candy every time they cry. It may appear nice at first, but in the long run you are hurting that child. When faced with responsibility, you will become so focused on victory that you forget you are on tilt, thus allowing you to snap out of it. Is it always wrong to play normals? No. But one should only play normals when they are already doing good. The second you start to fall, go right back to ranked.

I think our hypothetical "tilter" is different. Mine is already in ranked when the tilt start. Yours is in Normal.

If you are tilting in ranked, then you need to be more aggressive about getting you position. If you are a mid main, go mid. It doesn't matter if you are last pick. Make this clear that you are going mid in champion select, and people will appreciate your directness.

Ranked is usually what puts me on tilt.

When I go on tilt I just stop playing. Might just be 5 minutes or I'm done for the day, but if I'm on tilt, I never keep playing, because it only makes matter worse (for me).
