Confirmed, Rift Scuttler is a lesbian and likes her girls: http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/232/046/190.gif

THIS ALWAYS FUCKING KILLS ME. http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/238/295/133.png
I'M LAUGHING WAY TOO HARD AT YOU BOTH SO YOU BETTER STOP
"Rift Herald was once a Rift Scuttler that has since mutated due to the Void energy emanating from Baron Nashor's pit." It was already a rift scuttler.
and now it's a void scuttler
And soon it will be scuttling down lanes as a void siege engine. (check PBE patch notes)

Well, Asari in Mass Effect are all female, and they can breed with each other. (With magic mind powers. Somehow. IDK. It's weird)
Who's to say these other fictional creatures can't do it too? https://img.memesuper.com/26389e43ae6fe749fc75685f8c461802_meme-shrug-memesuper-shrug-shoulder-meme_500-327.jpeg?noredirect
you can take the dna out of an actual girls egg and implant it into another girls egg and create another girl. like... with real humans. in vitro.
however males cant be conceived that way since males are xy and females are xx. you can only get a y from a male.
also sawflies, wasps, bees, and ants....
Slightly incorrect.
A Male's reproductive material determines whether the offspring is male or female. As a result, you CAN get an X or a Y chromosome for the purposes of gender. You just have to use one of each (or experiment with YY and see what happens).
no. i wasnt incorrect. you cannot get a male from two females. females do not have a Y chromosome to give.
edit
furthermore men cannot birth children.
you either have 2 women or a man and a woman.
I misunderstood where you were coming from.
I thought you were saying Males cannot be conceived in a similar fashion.
You were simply saying Males cannot be generated as a result of the DNA from two females.
correct. im assuming you thought i meant males cant be created from invitro right? that's the only way i can see that your comment making sense.
for clarification :
sperm + egg = male or female.
egg + egg = female.
both can be done in a test tube - i.e. in vitro - which means under glass.
Depends on where the tech is, but it's possible.
That is to say, currently we cannot do such a procedure.
But due to the fact Males have access to both X and Y chromosomes, it is possible from a genetic standpoint to generate both males and females. The tech would simply need to somehow create an egg cell from sperm.
it's not possible to make an egg from sperm. one of the laws of matter specifically prevents that from happening.
So it's also impossible to create an egg that requires two sperm to be fertilized due to an otherwise lack of genetic material?
I don't think that is inherently impossible. Especially since one could use fetal cells to possibly generate ovaries.
Again, the tech may not be there now, but I'm sure there is a possible work around.
no. it's impossible because there'd be no cocoon to nurture the offspring. the egg turns into an embryonic sac and that feeds and protects the baby until it matures inside of a fluid similar to mucous. you cant take sperm and stretch it to create that sac because it's not designed as such. you'd have to create matter which cant be done. extracting DNA from a gamete that already contains chromosomes is one thing. re-purposing a gamete to create an environment for that DNA to grow is another. it'd be the equivalent of taking a brain cell and trying to grow lungs.
Love is in the air.
