It is sad to me though that this late into the game's lifespan, "am I still loading or have I crashed?" is still a common thing all LoL players have to deal with.
MrWasjig12 votesPeople frequently suggest just putting a little spinny graphic in so we can be sure it's still going or if it's crashed. But even the simplest things can't be done with the vast resources at Riot's disposal :P
