I have actually had some really nice interactions with Steam support, I even got a full refund once before the actual refund system was put in.

Yea, go to the support site and select a game then just send them a refund ticket and a reason why and you will likely get approved within a day and your money back in a week or less.

league of legends 2 baby. great pun, but three hit passives are actually kind of a good thing, though the things that are attached to the concept of three hits and then extra damage are usual quite annoying (vayne's %health true damage, gnar's movement speed, etc)

All of the games he makes only ever have a single sequel in spite of a massive player base asking for further iterations of the franchise.

Think Half-life 2, Dota 2, Portal 2, and Team Fortress 2.

To be honest most TF2 players I know would resent a sequel more than like it as it would destroy the player-generated content which acounts for 80% of the thing people actually play.

The same is probably true of DotA 2 as well, keeping in mind that's got a rolling release schedule with relatively regular updates.

Let me counter your argument by saying that Overwatch is the spiritual successor, the Mythical "TF3" if you will. All the fans (not really all of them but quite a lot) of TF2 when it originally quit playing some time after Mann vs Machine. They stopped trying to innovate and started having only hat updates. Though to be fair after having put nearly 500 hours into it myself it did eventually get boring.

Well to be honest most people I know who play tf2 are just gonna keep on playing that as one of the biggest selling points of TF2 is the f2p startup.

But it wasn't F2P to start out. I bought the game way back in 2007. It became free in 2011 or 2012. TF2 probably isn't a bad game, but the original fanbase has for the most part lost interest in playing the game.
