I thought she was pretty bad in URF Tenticle spawn isn't increased and her cast animations are practically longer than her cooldowns.

What? She isn't OP like Galio or Zed. You just have to never ever EVER stand next to her. And there is so much poke in urf, she can get whittled down pretty well.
I haven't seen any Illaoi in 35+ games of URF lol
Only reason a friendly Illaoi worked well with me was because I was heimer. I was the anti poke defense while she was the against all in defense.
