even in high plat, its rare to see a full team of upgraded trinkets, or more than one pink ward on the map.
i know how great that feels, i went jungle naut and they took shaco, but my team was on the ball and when shaco showed up at my red so did my team, twice this happened and after the second time i was able to 1v1 him, by 17 min i was counter jungleing him, needless to say he raged really hard.
My normals MMR is like 5x higher than my ranked MMR. I get matched up with plats and golds regularly in normals, I haven't seen a bronzie in ages.
I'm technically bronze 1 according to ranked.
Honestly when the game goes to crap and things start happening really weird, bronze players have the advantage. Plat cannot deal with bronze when it goes to hell.
That's when you say "Wait, so you admit you just got beat by a bronze?"
Most of the time it leaves them utterly confused before they flip out and rage quit.
The biggest difference between bronze and gold in my experience is gold gets slightly more cs.
They both do the same shit with the same attitude with the same items. Gold just gets 15 more cs per 10.

I love telling people I'm Bronze and then brutalizing them with superior ward coverage and better team communication. It's even better when they try to BM me and I've got a KDA of 10+ with multiple dragon steals.
In Normals, you can potentially find a Diamond/Master who lost to a Silver/Bronze/Unranked because of how MMR works.
As for that Platinum guy, I think this paraphrase from Stonewall008 (one of his S3-S4 videos has the full concept) sums up his case nicely: Most long term Platinum players are Diamond/Challenger (spoken before Master existed) tier players with a serious communication/emotional flaw that keeps them down low when their skill level is up around the professional mark. Such, you will find many angry Platinum players who know they are better, yet are chained down, and often take their anger out on other Platinum players. Platinum is the worst elo to be in.
