It's sad (and somewhat funny) because it's true. But there ARE those times where the person WOULD grab the lantern, but couldn't for whatever reason. That's happened to me as Thresh a lot too.

As a support landing against Thresh, I think it's sad that I can body-block the lantern to prevent someone from using it. It's like "oh no, I negated Thresh's utility by standing here..."

"Counterplay" for the win.

Though you don't actually have to stand on it. The lantern has a super low click priority. Just drop a pink ward on top of it.

People standing on lantern is the ultimate counter play and so terrible depressing when it happens. I find myself yelling "SAFETY IS SO CLOSE, BUT SO FAR AWAY!!!"
