I love it soooo much more to get Udyr than Blitzcrank.

One day, I hope that people will realize that melee champions fill a vital, essential role in ARAM. Every team needs a frontline, and Udyr is the perfect stunbot. Sure, it's not flashy, it's not even particularly entertaining, but just by virtue of being tanky and threatening all the squishies that people seem to prize so damn highly, you are winning your team the game.
All that damage on Lux (or any other long range squishy) means nothing when you get snowball bear-slapped and instantly die from follow up.

Depends on the team you get and how you run Udyr imo... There have been times I've had great fun with him. Granted I will agree he can be kind of lame sometimes. But I'll take him over having to play skarner.
Edit: Also, I hate getting Lux or Xerath in ARAM.
i actually like getting udyr in aram, i always tend to do really well with him ever since snowball was put into regular aram
