When someone says League of Legends is free

At least it's not like the other "free" games where you need real money to obtain clearly overpowered weapons, half the time of which are only 30 day rentals, and even worse, dumbass "energy" systems where you can only play a certain number of games each day before you have to pony up, these microtransactions are disgusting. League gets people to spend money by creating high-quality skins that people love, not by artificially locking away parts of the game.
League is definitely one of the most well executed free-to-play models in the industry, probably the reason why it's far and away the most popular (and profitable) game in the world. Good on them.

But its not as bad about throwing "you need money to be better" like other games. Skins give you a connection to a champ but dont make you better.

Money spent on League Of Legends $0 USD
Riot forces me to buy skins and they say that they will kill me if i dont, i stopped buying Steam games because they threaten me and force me to buy at least 3 skins each week, i cant go to the police either because all of them play LoL
its free is like the poor mans argument, nothing is free.
I have purchased zero skins. League of Legends is totally free, you guys are just weak-willed children!
