This actually happened one game with me as Sona...and the ADC was playing MF, but admitted she was a newer player. I still encouraged her because she needed a confidence boost.
She ended up getting a Quadra near the end of the game.
This is why I like playing with a friendly team, folks. It pays off greatly!
Seriously. I mean, why do all the ADC try to steal Sona's kills?

I need gold to buy supports items, aka Rabadon's Deathcap.
As someone who both plays Sona a lot and occasionally also plays ADC, I don't mind it when she gets a kill because the power chord of doom will only grow stronger.

The way I build Sona (

as my core), this scenario is ok with me. My ADC has not died much, has gained 7 assists worth of gold, and I have been thrown towards my next power spike where I will be able to make my ADC deal tons of damage and take very little. With each item, I grow in power and utility, and those kills only create a monster capable of creating more monsters. My Sona being fed = my carry being fed.
i played panth support for fun one morning (i love panth but hate being supp) and it worked out VERY well
the adc and jungler kept getting mad at me for stealing kills and im just sitting here like, dude, im pantheon i can NOT take the kill or else they get away, that last 15% of their HP belongs to me, IM PANTHEON CMON
long story short; i carried and we won despite adc and jungler getting no kills (poor lil fellers)
