Please, never give any direct or indirect praise to viktor, we can't have riot nerfing him.
Super Smash 64: The pinnacle of gaming.
But.. most games for the N64 used the Joystick, not the D-Pad.
EDIT: which made using the left shoulder button annoying as piss.
I thought this was going somewhere else for some reason...
Melee was, is, and will continue to be the best smash by leaps and bounds.

I like how far away from everything else the start button is. It's so irritating when you play games with that guy who keeps brushing the start button. I don't understand why modern controller designers seem to think that you need easy access to the most disruptive and least urgent button on the controller.
That's not how you hold the controller, though. You put one hand on the middle one, and one hand on the right. The D-Pad was the useless bit.
you put one hand on middle stick/z pad/ Left bumper and right hand on C directions/right bump The dpad was mostly for extra things like changing view type/zoom in etc for games..
you mean everyone doesn't use the joystick?
u seem to be obviously either 2 young or fking retarded. I even got the vhs tape with the nintendo 64 ad on it but yea....
I always hated the N64 controller because it was the first controller to basically force you to use the joystick (apart from the Atari controller...ahem.) After this, the D-pad faded away on other controllers, and a lot of N64 games literally didn't let you use the D-pad or relegated it to useless stuff. I'm a D-pad user for life though, and controller design after this got horrible on every system...except Playstation, who's basic design never changed.
N64 controller IMO is one of the all-time worst controller designs, with only possibly the Dreamcast, and original fat Xbox controllers being worse.
