You can't blame them, they use it whenever anything scary is about to hurt them. Just watch the number of times they'll use it against a fully melee champion!
Windwall shouldn't be able to stop ANY ultimates. It's a normal ability, it shouldn't be more powerful than an ult.
This happened to me playing Vel'Koz.
Wind Wall won't save you from this disintegration.
