When people talk bad about CertainlyT

And he is all like: http://i.imgur.com/FhICFli.gif

In all seriousness though, while his champs may be hard to balance he still makes some of the most unique champions in the game. Besides, with the exception of Kalista most his champions are not even that annoying to fight.

all of his champs have been broken at times

darius, thresh, and yasuo are still annoying to fight

and they're hard to balance because his champs are badly designed

seriously, all of his champs have a very fine line of broken and useless

thresh especially

which is not a good sign of design usually

Thresh and Yasuo...

Like those 2 are a million times more annoying and unpleasant to fight against then Kalista

Honestly i think thresh is the perfectly designed support

Thing is no one should be perfect in this game, perfect means any other option is obsolete, meaning diversity is not possible, meaning the game in general is more boring

Thresh can do what every other support can, difference being he is one champ who can do EVERYTHING any other champion can

And that is just wrong

let me just list it Ranged tank Hook that both pulls enemy or you while stunning swipe that pushes or pulls, while interrupting abilities long distance spell that aoe shields and teleports players Infinite stacking or armor and ap aoe ulti that damages and slows

in the meanwhile blitz has 1 single combo pull, knock up, silence

He is overbearing and perfect for every situation, every team comp, every lane enemy

That is unfair and has no counter play in the team department

Yasuo the only thing I have against is he is invulnerable to poke in lane thanks to that stupid ass shield

Yeah, but a jack of all trades is a master of none. While thresh can do basically everything but heal, with the exception of Dark Passage you could choose another support that is better at anything he does. Blitzcrank is better at pulling, Leona is better at diving, Janna is better at shielding, etc.

Yes, a great thresh can be devastating. But for the most part any support that is played by someone great can be devastating. A great Leona with a team that knows how to follow up can completely wreak your team, chaining together CC like it is going out of style. A great blitz can grab the ADC and then Knock-up and silence them so that can't dash away, a great Janna can shield the ADC and then ult, pushing all enemies away, a great Soraka can pump so much health into her ADC that you pretty much have to kill them 3 times before they finally die, etc.

All of the other champions you listed have one thing they specialize at. OK, great, but how often in League are you doing just one thing?

That's what makes "jack of ask trades" champions so desirable in competitive pro play. All of season 4 teams could pick Lee Sin because you could play him however the team needed. Orianna keeps coming back because she's got utility/burst/zone control. Thresh never leaves competitive play because the only thing he can't do is heal someone, but there's a Summoner Spell and Life Steal for that.

And to be honest, I think Thresh is easier to pick up and use than Blitzcrank is, just because you can do everything.

At some point you have to question if being 2nd best at eveything makes you the best overall.

Really? I never found Thresh annoying to fight. I used to find Yasuo frustrating, but once you realize just how choreographed he is than it becomes like a dance.

People yell at me for taking Brand against Yas, but I wreck him every time. It is annoying when he blocks my ult with his stupid wind wall in team fights though. Had that match up last night actually and it's so easy to predict where he's going and just harass him to death. He did cheat me out of two triples though with that stupid wall, so still kind of annoying.

Laughing Fish1 votes

Exactly. Once he starts his dash, you know exactly where he will be. And you know he has to dash straight through minions, so you can normally get a good understanding of when/where he will dash. Yasuo is very punishing if you don't pay attention, but quite satisfying to beat.

to sum it up certainlyt would be a nice guy to fire right now because all of his champions feel entirely anti-fun to play against besides zyra and that really shows a lack of good champion design for both the player and the players opposing the champion

also zyra was broken as fuck upon release and with item changes she'll be really strong so we'll see if she's entirely anti-fun or not

Zyra had to be nerfed to unviability for her to even be remotely safe to play against. Only reason you can play against her is because she isn't seen anymore.

so much whining in one thread... if you dont like his champs ban them. Personally, he didn't make lee sin, vi or riven so it seems like he is doing alright to me, his champs are pretty interesting

rofl

lee sin is fine

so is riven

vi is still irritating but wards are her biggest counter

now if you would kindly not be a smartass and tell me just ban them when these champions exist: Annie Gragas Katarina Leblanc Sejuani Volibear

that would be great

because you have to account that every meta will have very strong champions and very weak ones

then there's certainlyt's who are anti-fun regardless of everything besides zyra as someone mentioned she had to be nerfed to unviability in specifically mid lane and shoved over to support, but even at support when played well she feels incredibly anti-fun to play against
