Yah, Leona is in a similair boat. I feel like the Targon event changed the characters a little too much.

before the Targon event

- gentle, caring, wants to protect everyone with the power of the sun

- angry, hates everyone who doesn't worship the moon, wants to use the moon's power to exact her revenge on the Solari, possibly take over the world or something (didn't read much of her old lore).

after the Targon event

- zealot, hates anyone who doesn't worship the sun, possessed by the aspect of the sun. - outcast who was rejected by the sun, finds belonging with the moon, gets imprisoned for "blasphemy", fights to uphold her beliefs, possessed by the aspect of the moon

I get Riot is trying to make champs more neutral/misunderstood over being good or evil, but this is overdoing it .__.

leona and diana actually didnt change that much after the targon event. I just think that people didnt look into it as much. As a long time diana main her lore actually barely changed they just added some stuff into it to make it seem more like a story rather than just a quick synospsis. I dont think leona is a zealot because of how they left the end of her story. I think that she realized that diana was right about the moon and after being filled with the aspect of the sun she realized that they have to work in harmony. Diana pre targon was a solori whp had discovered that the moon was also a source of power and the solori did not beleive her and branded her a heratic. After that she killed the elders probably in the same way, as an escape. I hope that diana and leona have some future event where they work together.
