What were some of your pre-level 10 mishaps?

I'm curious to know something that everyone did before level 10 that when looking back on it is completely dumb.

I've got two:

I didn't know you could buy component items and build combine them into a larger item so I'd end up saving 3000+ gold to buy an entire botrk on Jax.
I thought that if you were playing say, Veigar, you were locked out of buying anything that wasn't in recommended items. I never even clicked the "all items" tab until I was level 15 or so.

Skins made this game really hard for me. I thought Corporate Mundo was Definitely Not Blitzcrank and vice versa for quite some time.

Velkoz I thought I was dying too much, so I built straight armor. I don't even know if I was dying to magic, but I know I had 254 armor at one point.

I would build 3 Rabadon's, and the rest CDR items on Fiddlesticks. I would use my ult every time it was up on minion waves or jungle camps.
