You don't need a sightstone when you can 2v3. Sometimes combat stats are better than a sightstone if you can just win a fight when the enemy ganks. I guarantee you aren't winning a 2v3 with sightstone first item unless they dive.

Even if you don't have permanent ward coverage you can still have a few wards and you can also see when certain enemies are somewhere else.

As long as you play smart you can still avoid being outnumbered, while also having better combat stats to win your lane by harassing or zoning your opponents.

If you're winning your laning face as a support it will often suffice with just buying a control ward or 2 to plant in the river since you'll be able to keep them alive. So you can focus on damage or combat stats. So that the enemy bot laners have a harder time coming back from them losing their lane. Sure the support should buy a sightstone, but for the most part it isn't something you want to get on the first back.

false because 99% of the time when u are a support who use a sightstone, then you put a ward in the tri bush or in the river or anywhere basicly .... wellll guess what, when the other support put a pink your fucking ADC won't fucking move his ass to come and defend ur fucking wards so how fucking useless ur fucking sightstone became now.. That's why I buy at least 1 control ward every back early game. I can see ganks just fine. Between having 2 control wards in my bag and a trinket it is easy to stay warded bottom lane.

Also, I have more than 70% win rate as support in ranked and almost never get sightstone first. You don't need to buy it first item as support to win games. I'm not saying that I don't buy it. I am saying that people who think you need it in the first 10 minutes of the game every single game are ignorant.

Before I ranked up a little bit, people in mid silver were always pestering me about my choice of no early sightstone. It may be just a meme to you, but to most people in lower ranks it is not.

You really kind of do. The reason is simple.

Look at your ADC's items. Notice that "2" under their yellow trinket? Now wait 30 seconds and look again. Repeat for 5 minutes. You'll notice there is always a "2" there.

Now for the next trick. Ask them to use a trinket. 60% chance they'll say it's not their job to ward. 30% chance they'll put it under the enemy turret. 9.5% chance they'll just put it somewhere stupid (such as middle of the lane or in your base). 0.4% chance they'll try to put it somewhere decent and miss (That brush is hard to hit). 0.09% chance they'll actually use it properly and decently. 0.01% chance they'll do the above and buy a pink ward. (Not use it. They'll still sell it when they run out of item slots.)

That' why you always want to rush item 2045 and item 3363 .
