But I want to complain about the lack of ducks in League of Legend. We need more ducks! One just isn't enough we need at least 7. The game just isn't balanced without more ducks.

Honestly I don't really give a shit.

The system isn't perfect but it works. I never had the joy of the supposed golden age of SoloQ, however what's here works alright. I can see that the current system essentially just causes more stress because of dynamicQ's effect on winrate randomness for SoloQ players, however you just need to play more games as a result.

It doesn't actually rank you on individual skill, that's the main problem. Not everyone has 4 friend on all day every day ready at their disposal that are also at the same skill level. Dynamic queue just allows low elo players to be carried by their friends to tiers they do not belong. They then play solo and are matched against/with people at a much higher skill rating than they should be; ruining the game for others.

SoloQ was just on way more fair playing field due to everyone being solo opposed to some people communicating with microphones and some not, some people knowing eachother's splay styles and other teams not. It just adds so many more random variables that Riot simply cannot balance based off of skill rating because it no longer balances your individual skill.

PS: Dynamic queue allows 5 paid boosters to team up together and boost accounts easily. Not sure how this wasn't taken into consideration.

In solo Q you get 4 random players who determine your rank for you. In a system that ranks based on wins/losses rather than individual performance, Solo Q doesn't work very well. You are the only constant while 4 other variables determine your rank. Inviting other players adds more constants, reducing the radicality of the result of the game, as performance is less reliant on RNG as it is the constant skill of the players who are in a premade.

Really, the boosting argument seems to be a way for solos to justify getting absolute shitter teammates rather than just acknowledging that they got shitter teammates. They have confirmation bias when looking for reason that Dynamic queue is a bad thing. Just because you have a shit teammate does not mean that they are boosted. But hey, whatever fits the Anti-Dynamic queue narrative amirite?

Who cares what rank you are if you don't have the skills to back it up?

Wow, the good old myth that matchmaking doesn't work got upvoted? Nice. If you queue up with 4 random players these random players will in average perform as well as the average player on your own rank should perform. Gold 4 players perform in average as well as Gold 4 players. If you are Gold 4 you will get matched against them (in average). If you are better, then you will rise. Given enough games played the old system is perfect for determining your personal skill.

The new system rewards communication extern to what League provides (voicechat) which is always going to be superior to pings/chat. That means if you and all your friends are individually Gold 4 players but in a full premade with voicechat you are maybe going to hit platin simply because you are often going to get matched to smaller premades/solo despite not being better than Gold 4. That's okay. It's okay to reward people using voicechat, because that is how League is ideally, it's a teamgame. What is not okay is that there is no possibility to determine individual skill now. DQ is what Teamranked was supposed to be, but it killed soloQ.
