no, you just dash BEHIND them as they use a channel ability xD
HOW IS THAT MOVIE GOING TO WORK!!!
The two most badass heroes clashing together for the first time in cinema history? I think it will work fine.
If Batman wins, Superman fans QQ, and vice versa for Supes winning, if they don't handle this delicately as fuck, the ensue raging will cause the planet to implode.
Except they aren't really fighting. It is Batman v Superman, not Batman vs Superman. This is because it is more of a very heated debate than an actual fight. Both Batman and Superman want the same things, but their methods are completely different. Neither side needs to win, they just need to find a common goal they both agree on.
Still need to handle this incredibly delicately.
True, but they have decades of comics to look back on. There are several comics of Superman and Batman meeting for the first time. Does it need to be handled delicately? Sure. But the combination of the hundreds of comics detailing similar stories, combined with Marvel's recent movies proving crossover movies can work, should allow it to turn out fine.
Should, it SHOULD work out fine, and it wouldn't be the first time this has happened where they end up at each others throats and shit, but this is Hollywood we are talking about, where they can have background info for days on end and research the various comics and other mediums of said thing they are making and STILL find a way to fuck it up, I'm hopefully, but I don't want to build up my hype quite yet.
A very true point. But Zack Snyder is a good director, Christopher Nolan is a very good producer, and Henry Cavill really seams to have a grasp on Superman.
I'm just afraid of opening my heart only to be hurt again ;-;
Lol, That is always a risk. But I really liked Man of Steel, and Ben Afleck is a good actor (the only thing I was afraid of was that he didn't look intimidating enough, but the man put on like 100 pounds of muscle). Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther is the biggest variable in my opinion. It has the potential to be something fresh and awesome, but it could also fail miserably. I will put off any judgment of his Luther until I actually see him in character.
You are right, Man of Steel was good, I will give it a chance.
I don't know why it got so much hate. Somehow it is Superman's fault that he was barely strong enough to win. He was able to destroy the World Engine, but it was very hard, and people died before he could. He was able to stop Zod, but not contain him, and thus Zod had to be killed.
Man of Steel gets hate? I thought the consensus was that it was good?
From what I've heard about the destruction of metropolis compared to marvel movies. You see a LARGE amount of effort in marvel movies to keep innocents out of the fight. Look at the hulkbuster scene in avengers 2, stark cant get hulk away from people but you see the effort at every stage. I never recall superman putting any level of effort into getting zod out of the city, not even a single line of dialogue.
The neck snap thing...well you can argue tat if you had the chance to snap his neck why didn't you just do something to make him close his eyes or gauge his eyes out. It also goes back to how pure superman is supposed to be and what not.
The Avengers fight an army of aliens, complete with their "war whales" (for lack of a better term) with a massive green walking wrecking ball. Keep the damage limited to a few New York City blocks.
Superman fights, what, 3 aliens? The city of Metropolis is almost completely destroyed in the process.
I'm not a fan of Superman in general (he's too OP, nerf please), and the movie certainly didn't win me over. I was more interested in what the other aliens as oppose to Superman.
As such, I'd be rooting for Batman to prevail in the movie.
That said, they'll likely end the movie by having some sort of third party that the two have to team up to defeat.

The Avengers did not fight a weapon as rapidly devastating as the World Engine (which caused 9/10s of the damage before Superman could destroy it), they certainly didn't fight Kryptonians, and they had a team of experienced heroes, whereas Superman was alone and very inexperienced. You can hardly compare the two.
And where did Superman choose to have his 1v1 fight? I can't fault the character too much for the World Engine damage, as that would have been comparable no matter who was trying to stop it. I can fault Superman for ignoring everyone else and having his fight in the middle of the city. I don't buy the "he's a new superhero" excuse for that either. Look at Iron Man in the first movie, when he gets pushed by the road. He doesn't just stay there and think "I think this'll be a nice place to have my 1v1", he gets out of there as soon as he can, taking the fight away from other people (both into the sky as Superman could do or to the unoccupied Ark Reactor). I don't think it's his genius that lead to that decision either.
Also, you say Superman is too OP, but when he barely defeats Zod, which means that the World Engine was running for awhile before he could stop it, you complain he didn't stop Zod and Stop Metropolis from being destroyed?
This is the problem with the Superman franchise in general. How do you challenge an OP character? You create even more OP stuff to throw at him! The Hulk has similar issues in his comics, where a lot of the opposition he goes up against are just bigger, stronger monstrosities. It results in both just spiraling to more and more absurd levels of OP, both for the hero's and the villains.
And where did Superman choose to have his 1v1 fight?
Zod chose the spot for the fight. If Superman tried to leave Metropolis, Zod would just fly back in and start killing people again. Zod wanted to cause as much collateral damage as possible. What was Superman supposed to do, sit outside the city hoping Zod joins him? How many more thousands would have died if he did that?
don't buy the "he's a new superhero" excuse for that either. Look at Iron Man in the first movie, when he gets pushed by the road.
Iron Man made plenty of mistakes in his first movie (and in all following movies). The difference is, Iron Man's enemies cannot destroy half a city because of a small mistake. (although it was Tony's mistake that spawned Ultron, and he caused crazy damage. It was just more spread out) Also, Tony Stark was already very knowledgeable of military action and tactics before he became Iron Man, whereas Clark grew up on a farm.
He doesn't just stay there and think "I think this'll be a nice place to have my 1v1", he gets out of there as soon as he can, taking the fight away from other people (both into the sky as Superman could do or to the unoccupied Ark Reactor).
This is because Tony's enemy was trying to kill him, whereas Zod was trying to kill as large a number as possible. This is very different. If Tony ran, his enemy would follow. If Superman ran, the enemy would not follow.
This is the problem with the Superman franchise in general. How do you challenge an OP character? You create even more OP stuff to throw at him!
When he is not challenged you are not happy, but when he is challenged then you are equally uphappy...
Would be nicer if more people just be like me and straight up admit they hate superman and other flying brick tropes. Alot of my friends are huge comics nerds (I kinda am too) and they get really huffy when I say this but it's pretty true that while superman is a classic comic staple he is poorly designed.
As for OP, he really is. When the main thing isn't people/villians even trying to kill superman but that he loses when he can't stop people/cities being destroyed.
Actually reminds me of that superman game where you lose based on how many buildings get destroyed xD
NO!!! SHUTUP!!! THAT NEVER HAPPENED, THAT NEVER EXISTED LALALALALALALALALALA
(same goes for Eragon and The Lightning Thief)
OPEN YOUR EYES, WE MUST ACCEPT IT, FOR ONLY IN OUR ACCEPTANCES CAN WE STAY VIGILANT AND NEVER ALLOW SUCH HORRORS TO COME INTO THIS WORLD AGAIN!!!
sobs NO, ITS NOT TRUE! THEY WOULDNT DO THAT TO ME! THEY DIDNT LEAVE APPAS FEET UNANIMATED! THEY DIDNT HAVE 4 MINUTE DANCE ROUTINES TO MOVE A SMALL ROCK! THEY DIDNT HAVE TO HAVE FIRE NEAR THEM TO BEND! AANG WASNT FREAKING SERIOUS AND MATURE, AND HIS NAME WAS CERTAINLY PRONOUNCED CORRECTLY! ALL IN THE MOVIE THAT NEVER EXISTED!
If we don't accept it...they may make another one...we have to look into the abyss, stare into the cold darkness and embrace the shit.
In one part, I just want to insert a Team America reference here. lol
But on a properly serious note, you make a good point. Each "transformers" movie that came out after the first one was only made possible because not enough people spoke out against the first movie being so badly done. They watched it, thought it was terrible, and then looked no further. But then they kept this careless attitude up when they continued to watch the next 3 movies, and finally by then people had had enough of Michael Bay's crap (thank goodness that came in time to save at least part of the "Turtles" movie).
But the point is that we do need to acknowledge that things like the Dragon Ball and Airbender movies happened or else we'll just end up making more of the same horrible stuff (if you'll notice we haven't heard anything about more of these franchises have we?). The Spiderman franchise does this to a point in that the newest movies, while not great, don't make the same mistakes as the previous ones (albeit they do make newer mistakes of their own).
And then we have Avengers and very recently Mad Max Fury Road. If those are not movies done right then I don't think anyone knows how to make one.
have u already forgotten about the holocaust that which is dragonball evolution
Ok, even THAT one, I have to pretend didn't happen.
was a dark day for db fans everywhere
Seriously.

Like fight Lex Luthor, who is apparently also in that movie.
Yeah. It appears that Luther is leading the Anti-Superman crowd, and got a massive following after he helped repair the damage from Zod's invasion.
Well that's a thought sure, or whomever made up the title was too lazy to put in the 's' and/or thought they were being "new and edgy" by doing so.
Personally I'm starting to agree more and more with one of my brothers that we don't need a cross-over for Batman and Superman but rather we need a story based around Superman being Clark Kent and having to actually work at keeping his identity a secret (unlike Batman who has the billions of dollars at his disposal to keep things hush hush). It would be a "Clark Kent" movie for lack of a better name offhand and could probably be quite good if you got the right people for it. If they want a cross-over then try to follow the pattern the Avengers have done and bring in more people so you can make a Justice League movie and not build up just the two.

I don't think Batman is ever going to win against Superman in an actual 1v1 deathmatch, since Superman is the physical manifestation of invincibility, broken OP and all.
Nobody is going to physically beat down Superman. It ain't gonna happen. However, physically beating someone is not the only way to victory. Take Lex Luther for example. He has won several battles, as he understands you don't have to kill Superman or even actually hurt him to win the battle. Could Superman just kill Luther to stop him? Sure, but overall that would create more chaos and fear than letting Luther win.
I don't think Batman is ever going to win against Superman in an actual 1v1 deathmatch, since Superman is the physical manifestation of invincibility, broken OP and all.
Can't remember the movie, but there is one where an older Bruce Wayne manages to beat superman almost to death by lacing a gas arrow with kryptonite. Never forgot that scene. batman grabs superman by the shirt and looks him right in the eye and says "Remember...I could have beat you." But then gives superman the win by Bruce swallowing a pill that stopped his heart temporarily to give the idea that superman killed him.
While that scene was crazy epic, and one of the best scenes in comic book history, it is also extremely bias. Frank Miller does not like Superman, and so it makes sense Batman won. Also, it is an elseworld comic. That wasn't the primary Batman or Superman, it was an alternate take on them. I love the story, but it is not proof that Batman could beat Superman. Now Batman could out think superman, get around Superman, even hide from Superman. Batman can get his way whether Superman likes it or not. But he could never actually beat Superman in a fight.
people keep saying that batman doesn't stand a chance against superman. after all, all he has is his wealth, influence, and intelligence and no super power. then again, supermans nemesis is a man with no super power and just his wealth, influence, and intelligence
The thing is, the Batman vs. Superman fight already happened in the comics, and (spoilers!) Batman won.
Actually, Batman has never beaten Superman in the main DC universe, whereas Superman has beaten him several times. The one where Batman won as an elseworld story, and as such was exploring strange and different takes on the DC Universe.
If nothing else I completely agree with the comic above that that is how a "real world fight" between the two would go. Why is that post not up-voted more? lmao at it
I think they have had this fight in the comics and is cannon that batman beats superman, so I don't think they will have that much of an issue if he loses. I believe the fight would go like this comic otherwise: http://media.yourdailymedia.com/4/batman-vs-superman.jpg
Ok, that is funny.
They won't do what you think they will do, like in the comics and cartoons.
They won't actually fight. Superman could just throw a rock mach 7 straight through batman from orbit killing him instantly.
suit is made of kryptonite?
Nah, that would cause cancer. Although maybe if you had a line of lead between the kryptonite, and than another liner to stop the lead from touching you, you could wear it....
