Hell yeah, Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky was one of the best mystery dungeon games.

IMO, One of the best Pokémon games period :P I don't know how I managed to nearly break down on like my fourth play through... Weird, cause I was effected at all my first few.

The explorer games are really good because the Pokemon are far more personal to you. The first set was fairly good, the second set was near perfect, but from what I heard (I never played it) the third set... sorta fell flat. IIRC they didn't actually expand to a new generation in the third "generation" of those games, which heavily culled the impact the games had. Story was also worse than the first or second gen from the reviews that I saw.

All of the games had rather bad balance (Agility and such other speed ups, and of all things, Bullet Seed OP as balls. Never something you'd say in a standard series game, lol.) They were fun though, and it was a great dungeon explorer game series on top of being a good pokemon game for the first two.

I think it's not the 3rd being bad, it's the 2nd being too good. Meh, I think the games were ok balance wise. You would ALWAYS have weaknesses. that's the point of pokemon. If Agility-based pokemon are a problem for ya, then you pack Paralyze/Freeze-based attacks. The only thing that WAS op was the Long-Range, Multi-hit attacks. Which wetre, yes. Bullet Seed, and, I believe, Petal Dance. And yes. the game had a great atmosphere, soundtrack(Don't Forget... Still breaks me to this day. It's on a very special list alongside Beyond the Sky and For River) and unbalanced or not, a good gameplay. Truly a great game...
