I don't know much about Kennen so I can't say stuff about him, but. Zed has energy but it is almost meaningless and doesn't gate him. Lee has energy, but he's only gated by it if the Lee player is braindead and doesn't AA. Akali has energy, but she's hardly gated by it, if at all.
