Did you know that pugs were originally bred to sit on the laps of Chinese Emperors?

(Probably not, I found that on a wikipedia article that was updated. It's nice to imagine though.)

I once saw a comic of how pugs were made. They took dogs, put em in a cannon, and then shot them at a wall. Boom, a pug.
