I did one better. I split the gif, and read each still image. It just rambles about random things, like a memory cell made of Chrystal, and a Canadian WWII veteran who turned down receiving a medal of honor.

See that list on the side of the screen to the left there? Use that to navigate the boards and you will never have to see the memes & games boards ever again. Simple fix for your problem there.

Rather than forcing me and everyone else to have to individually navigate all the other forums manually; how about M&G just doesn't take up almost half the front page's real estate? I'll even compromise! no category is allowed to take up more than 1/10 of the front page. The front pages features 50 topics; so that creates a cap of 5.

As of this posting, M&G's has 23 of those 50. Almost half! 7 by laughingphish alone.

I'll admit, M&G's isn't inherently bad. And there's nothing wrong with up-vote farming. But it's starting to look like 4chan around here. How about giving other parts of the forums some air?

Caught me a little confused here. I only ever use the sub forums list to navigate. That way I get everything that has anything to do with what I'm currently interested in right there. I don't see how it can be a bad thing to use the sub forum list.

And frankly it's not the posters that put M&G up at the top of the forums home page all the time, it the commenters that keep them up there. So really you would have to blame them for commenting and keeping the posts up on the Recent list instead of simply upvoting and letting the post fall down.

Don't blame posters for what others are doing.

The front page is supposed to be an abbreviated look at the hot topics around the forums as a whole. But lately, it's been primarily M&G + 10-20 topics that have been hot in their sub-forums for the last few days. If I want to look at 20+ topics about gifs, I'll just go to that part of the forums. Instead, I'm going to individual sub-forums to not see M&G. Again, I'm not saying M&G is bad. I'm not blaming anyone for using it to farm upvotes. Hell, I'm not even saying it should be banned from the front page! The M&G revival was entertaining for a while; but it's starting to ware thin.

Don't blame posters for what others are doing.

Whenever I look for a gif to use with a joke and I find these I'm always turn between using them and not. Because if the text is too fast it'll ruin the joke.
