The problem with the EU boards is that it's simply too small for all those different sections. Back when only the forums existed the only used sections were GD and Off-Topic. GD was basically everything except for those few trashy memes (sorry OT community) that ended up in Off-Topic. Due to the concentration of the community we managed to have quite some activity and even got a few red posts (R.I.P. Riot Croissant!).

When the boards came we didn't get General Discussion (for whatever reason, NA still has it) and Riot enforced the seperation into the seperate sections more strictly. That lead to a vast decrease in activity and many active posters/troll(ers) quit the boards (s8y anyone?). The already rather few (in comparison) red posts naturally died down. Initially Riot tried to keep some subs alive (Bug report/Help) but they just stopped at some point. People either migrated to the NA boards, reddit or simply quit shitposting for their own sanity.

Frankly, at this point they might aswell delete the zombie that EU boards became.

First off, Donnie Darko, right?

What made me not want to return there..? The layout on the side of the EU West server does not correspond to that of the NA server. As a person diagnosed with 3 parts of the spectrum of autism, I am wholeheartedly triggered by that.

Also, the people whine. A lot. More than in NA.
