Is Morde Arthus?

I was watching a Wow cinematic the other day for the wrath of the lich king expansion. Arthus reminded me a lot of morde. He can convert ppl to his army, and he can raise a dragon from the dead.

Does anyone else thing morde is modeled after death knights like arthus?
