Most champs have to predict whether they'll need to roam or flat out fight by the first major component.

Many shielders buy item 3504 first nowadays. It's the build order that's important. Like do you go for sightstone first or the idol? Or upgrade the gp10? And what about the boots.

Always upgrade your gold item first. You get more income that way and finish your Quest sooner.

It depends on your playstyle, situation and ELO. In pro plays, sightstone is a must have since vision is so incredibly important. In an environment where everyone keeps track of all the items and knows when to fight or not to, the element of surprise is the most important asset. But in soloQ where people just try to 2v2 regardless of the items purchased, it's often better to not rush sightstone until the end of laning phase which is when you'll need more than 1 or 2 wards up at a time. Sure getting the sweeper earlier is helpful, but only if your jungler plans to gank you, which you can't be sure of in soloQ. Not talking about high diamond/challenjour here.

locks you to and once you get the other respective component you can't change your choice at the shop last minute.

With item 3134 item 3133 in their inventory they can still efficiently chose between item 3142 item 3147 without sitting on extra combine components from the decision pivot.

I was referring to how little choice supports have for end items. With few exceptions, you will build almost the exact same items every time on every <tank/enchanter> support.

Only build order changes. And even that is pretty static: Gold -> Gold+ -> SS -> boots -> start something else (Usually redemption unless it got nerfed the last few months). And the game state is usually pretty clear by the time you hit that start point.

Very little "prediction" necessary.

It's owned by Chinese giant Tencent, but that's actually helpful in this situation. Firstly, Moonton registered their game in the US, and US courts get things done. This is why Riot is suing them. If they had only gone for the Chinese market, Riot probably wouldn't bother. HOWEVER, Tencent cares about Riot, and Tencent has a pretty big voice. If Riot showed that Moonton was cutting into their profits, Tencent might be able to get something done in China too. It's less likely though, because Chinese courts kind of suck, from what I've heard.

In any case, Moonton is screwed in the United States. I looked over their game, and it's very obvious it's stolen. The red and blue buffs are pretty much exactly copied, for example, and so many of the heroes are just LoL ripoffs.
