I can give you a million and one reasons not to play this game. Yet I still do, and still will. Anybody wanna share why they won’t quit?

Kind of both, I play league because I don't have any other game to kill time in the meantime. Im waiting for cyberpunk 2077 so it will be mashed xD

I actually quit a month ago in between the Aphelios and Sett releases. In the grand scheme of things I could blame it on whatever I want; but at the end of the day it really just comes down to this: When you invest your time into a game, you can expect a certain amount of enjoyment, and a certain amount of frustration. Some games don't have terribly frustrating elements; most, if not all esports titles do. Personally, I get more frustrated with the game than I do enjoy my time. Anyone who is in that boat and continues to play, is in fact addicted.

It's not the same game it was when I was a kid. I met a lot of good friends through the game, even ran a club when I was in high school. Its time to close a chapter in my life where a third of my life surrounded league; I stick around here for the memes and the art/stories.

I'm finding it quite hard to find other things to do in my past time; I actually didn't notice just how much of my time was being eaten by the game. I have a few friends who are really into Heros Of the Storm, and thats been an interesting experience. I have also tried once again to try and get over the massive learning floor that Dota 2 has. Not playing league has also given me an opportunity to add a few more passion projects to my portfolio.

Competition, the sole reason why I still play League is for competitive reasons only. I never used to be a competitive person, especially before season 8. Being competitive not only drives you to play more games, but also gives you the satisfaction of proving someone wrong when they're being toxic. I may not be above Gold elo, but I can say that I've /played this game longer than most pro players. I've reached the top 100 players in NA on Kennen (still am). I have one of the highest profile levels in the world. And my map control according to mobalytics and league of graphs is better than most masters players. Not everything is about your rank if you really think about it. It's about improving yourself as a player not just in league but in other MoBAs aswell.

League does a bunch of stuff right, but it also misses some big points also. It can definitely be a stable game to get into IMO.

there simply is no good alternative, hos sucks, its too easy, no items nothing -_-, dota too big a map, new player toxic, and a stupid donkey .o., only one thats soso is smite maybe, but its just not as satisfying, nevertheless, i uninstalled league and runeterra already, trash games are still trash i guess lol, this game will never improve, tencent is at the reer and they only care about raking money to achive their goal, which is to control the internet to silence anyone that dares create a ''non safe'' environment, aka they want to destroy freedom of speech, because they are communists.

i stopped having fun in season 7.(not that i liked the tank meta all that much either.)

i kinda still play from time to time and linger around in hopes the game will get better,i keep thinking that maybe the next one i play ill get a fun game.and sometimes i almost do get one but ultimately about 90% of the games i play are the opposite of fun.

i stay for the false hope it will get better.but deep down i know it wont. and riot will still somehow manage to make this game even less fun, somehow. this game is like a endless hole of despair that i cant ever truly escape. as i will find my self coming back even if i do stop for a while.
