As a Garen main with PBE access it's difficult on there, but not impossible. Keep in mind many of the AD changes will effect you as well.
All it takes is a bit of trial and error, along with a hefty dose of willpower.

wasnt a thing i might agree with all the complaining going on, but since it is....
as someone who mains 2 fighters, but mains the support role (I know it doesn't make too much sense) I know the feeling. Before I wouldn't buy 
cause I would feel it would be taking up a spot for something that gives health and armor/MR, now I don't have to worry since it combines with an Item I already have on me (
). On the other hand my actual main is getting worse and worse as they nerf items I use on him. Now with this new Mastery system, I have no idea what to give him, plus all those new AD Items that turns the ADC into a swiss army class.
I know riot will likely look at mages for the next update, but riot NEEDS to help out the fighters, some of them haven't changed in 2-3 years now and are getting outclassed 4 times over.

Who already weren't that great..Riot really hates anything but marksman. Supports only get benefits because they have to lane with them
wait they are buffing support but ignore top tanks? Where does that leave Leona? She both support and tank. I've actually taken her mid lane and did well with her.
