Hello my friends! Perhaps you remember? How I gave RP cards away last December? Well now I am back with a treat - It's no trick And now you're eligible with simply a click.

Though rarely I find myself within The Rift Here this October I bring you this gift It's RP again! No, I swear it's not phony! Eh? What's that? I'm a one trick pony?

Well I guess it's not all that fresh But I've still got you hooked just like Now that bad joke is out of the way I can continue with what I must say

Christmas I had you all help me spread cheer This month I am much more intrigued by fear Oh I'm just kidding, I'm still here for hope! Won't settle for despair, nope nope nope!

Now excuse me a moment at this time I'm going to break from this merry rhyme To plainly lay out the rules of this game So if you don't win you've no one to blame

-Make something "Halloween" themed based off my name (Chained Icarus) and show it off to me! Pictures, Stories, Jokes, whatever! -Or post something here in the thread a scary but humorous story -Nothing super creepy or gory, though. PG-13 okay guys? -Only eligible in NA I'm afraid guys, unless I can find a way to get RP codes for the other regions. -Keep it classy - Don't insult any other summoners (you can poke fun at me, though). -Under no circumstances will I accept submissions/work that you YOURSELF did not do. Plagiarists will be... Punished. -Making this a little more interesting, when you post, suggest what the summoner above you might be afraid of. But keep it classy! -Always remember: fun is the main goal here! I couldn't bear it if this turned toxic.

And now some boring stuff that's not as poetic but needs to be said.

If you're not comfortable sharing on this public forum (Why are you even here?) You can add me in-game but be warned: I'm not on often. I'll try to accommodate everyone, though.
Winners will be contacted in-game (to verify it's them) and the code will be distributed in that manner, as I have in the past. Keeps it simple.
The extra challenge, simply put, is to draw ME (hence face me, as I'll show you a picture) in various styles for fun. Since this is a lot of work and effort, I want to be upfront about it: the prize is a $50 RP card, there will only be one winner, and I am a critic. I want to be clear that accepting this challenge DISQUALIFIES YOU from winning the smaller $10 cards I will be handing out, so you could end up doing a lot of work to win nothing. I don't want anyone to feel cheated or misled, so I'm being clear here: This extra challenge is really meant to be just that - A challenge. There is NO GUARANTEE of a winner if no one manages to meet the standards.
If a Red does choose to endorse this post, I'll roll 1d6 and add that many cards to the pot. Unless that red happens to be Morello, because I love me some Irellia, and I'd offer even more cards just to spite him. Yes, this is purely for self gratification. I am a prideful and needy human being.

If anyone spots the hidden easter egg in this post, you win a card. Straight up. It's not much of a trial, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for roping people into my silly games.

UPDATE: I'll hand out random bonus cards (and cards for the easter egg) around Nov 7. The fact that it's a Friday and a common payday here in the US has nothing* to do with it.

May as well try out a story.

It was a silent, dark, cloudless night. The air was crisp despite the faint fog lingering throughout the trees. Icarus inhaled a lungful of the cool night's air, and sensed darkness within it.

He took a step further into the forest and briefly heard the crunching of leaves from the depths of the trees. He shivered. For a moment, he considered flying over the forest instead, but reminded him that his instructions were to walk through it. He continued walking.

An owl hooted in the distance. Icarus decided to increase his pace, but quickly decided against it for he wanted to make the least amount of noise possible. Cold wind whipped against his skin, stinging his face. The fog was beginning to thicken, forcing Icarus to walk blindly through the forest, one step after another, feeling an adrenaline rush as his heart pounded in his chest.

He started hearing rustling noises as he approached a clear opening in the trees. He cautiously looked around, searching for any hint of movement, while his heart pumped faster and faster.

One frosty October night, the duck who went by Icarus was out, searching for a present to give to his girlfriend, Nucluney, for her birthday, which coexisted with halloween. Unfortunately the humans had picked the park clean, and nothing was to be found, until Icarus decided to check in the water. What he found in the water would change his existance forever, and it all started on that October night. While Icarus was swimming in the water he noticed a shiny object on the riverbank. He swam under and tugged with all his might to free it, it was a shackle connected to a three foot long chain. When he pulled the chain out of the water, a foot floated to the surface. "Holy quack!" Icarus shouted. He then brought the chain back to their nest and hid it under some branches. The next morning, something was strange, the foot seemed to be alive, and had followed him back to his nest, he awoke to the smell of not only stinky, but rotting feet! He did his best to keep quiet, but let out a little quack. It woke up his girlfriend, who's name was Nucluney. When she woke up the foot seemed to disappear and in it's place? The chain sat upon the spot where the foot just was. "Uhh, happy early Birthday!" Icarus said to Nucluney. "Why thank you Icarus, what is that?" Nucluney questioned. "It seems to be a chain that humans kept prisoners on, but I'm sure it would be a great necklace." Icarus responded, making it up as he went along (kind of like this story) So she put it on, and they had wonderful day, however late that night Icarus heard a scream! He awoke and noticed Nucluney missing from her spot in the nest, in fact she wasn't anywhere he could see! So he went down to the source of the scream, the pond where he found the chain. To his horror, he found Nucluney, stuck under the water, with the shackle connected to the chain around her neck. It seemed to have pulled her under the water to kill her. Still wondering what the scream was, with much sobbing now, Icarus turned around, and saw the ghost of his girlfriend! "I'm sorry it ended this way, Icarus, but that chain is evil, never come back for my body or you will die too!" The ghost wailed. "It's all my fault, though, but if you wish me to leave, I shall." Icarus sobbed. That next day Icarus wouldn't leave the nest, he was still in shock. It wasn't until his friend, Daryl, showed up that he even said a word to anyone. "Hey Daryl, I'm feeling really down, could you tell me a horrible duck pun joke?" He asked. "Sure thing Icarus! Okay what do you get when you cross ducks and fireworks?" He asked. "Firequackers!" Daryl screamed as he finished his own terrible joke. Icarus told Daryl he felt better, but only because he wanted to be left alone. Later that night Icarus awoke to himself being dragged upon the ground! He looked and saw that the same chain that had killed his girlfriend had attached itself to his leg and was going to pull him under the water! As he was dragged under the water Icarus looked up, and saw his girlfriend. "At least we'll be together," he thought. As he let out his last quack, he had finally seen the light. But the curse of the chain wouldn't let him go so easily! Now it's said on Halloween night, you can see the ghost of Icarus, the chained duck, or Chained Icarus, paddling around that same pond, warning about sticking your bill where it doesn't belong, and making terrible duck puns. So remember, when you see chains at the bottom of rivers, LET THEM BE!
