Ha, tried to queue up as mid Ekko a few days after release just to give him a go...
... 20 minutes into the queue I gave up and went back to ranked.

I usually give up and create my own group. Tends to be faster that way. If I look for a group, I usually end up resorting to saying yes to a mind numbingly bad team comp just so the waiting can finally end. It's a good thing I didn't try to become a mid main like I was thinking about post-Azir. How would I ever get to practice? Blind pick people just insta-lock mid, and draft comes down to which pick I get.

Dude just start your own team from scratch. I pick mid and look for all the other roles. It takes me 5 minutes tops.

^ technically everyone who changed & went to Support role as a "Mid-Lane backup".
