I don't know what you're talking about to be honest. Whenever I see the enemy nexus die, or my ADC picking up a double after making a huge play from the support role, I get an enormous hard-on. No chat recognition required. 
If you're yearns for recognition/praise everytime, then you want attention. ... so, Don't play support, or teamgame in general. Support is for defending the team, the main utility of the team. Everyone has it's own job in this teamgame. Noone have to be/must be praised for it.
I could say then: i don't get praise everytime when i heal my support if he get caught while warding/go ham so much.
Fortunately the darius noticed and congratulated the support.
