Right up until you discover Heroes of the Storm, which actually works (that .gif is appropriate when people say League is stable). Haven't played League in weeks, maybe months now. It's glorious.

Sure, I'll check in on the forums every now and then to see if Riot has started giving a care about bugs, but my hopes aren't high.

that game was so bad. I couldn't play past rank 10 (you start at rank 50. highest rank for ranked system is rank 1...)because how easy it was to climb. So much shit I needed a shovel to scoop off all the crap I had to snore through.

Its just "group 5 one lane take first objective" "gank enemy team rest of game for main objective"

Pretty sure it is. They have a similar business model to LoL - free game, with in-app purchases for cosmetics or faster character unlocks.

When was the last time you tried to play? Might have been before open beta started. I thought I was leaving once but i decided why stop playing a game i enjoy b/c the company feels greedy. Instead I chose to keep playing the game but haven't spent a penny on it in months. Feels pretty good I must say.

They make more money than any gaming company under the sun, and give nothing back to the community that made them crazy wealthy.

They gave us a "free" game, but if you want to be competitive, but don't have time to grind for runes and characters, you're always going to be behind the curve.

I'm also not ignorant as to how business works. Yes, Riot needs money to keep running, as good will won't keep a company standing for long. But their policies seem to focus solely on squeezing as much out of people while giving back as little as possible, all the while using the guise of, "but the game is free!" so that people blindly defend them.

I would agree with you that the game was a good value when it launched. If it weren't so insanely profitable, I might also agree they need to do what they do to make money.

But seeing as other free games seem to offer so much more, and paid for games (which make less profit) seem to reward players for their loyalty, there's really new excuse for why Riot continues to give sub-par performance to half of the country, obliterate balance so that you have to cycle to champs that aren't garbage, and then be like, "But servers are hard and expensive! Here, please buy more 20-30 dollar skins".

This is just my opinion, but it's why I left the game.

before you draw your pitchforks and build pyres, how about recognizing a single and simple fact: buying anything in LoL is 100% optional. It's not like League is your Electricity or Gas supplier. You can survive without DLC ! when some energy conglomerate raises its unit prices, do you start half the ruckus you are throwing on these boards?

If you do not agree with the way riot chooses to make money, you have the ability to simply not giving them $ while still being able to play the game they provide.

I still stand by my statement. At one point the business gave players everything they could want and i was happy to pay for the skins ect. (note that the skins weren't even as high quality at that time). However, now everything Riot does screams quick buck to me and I choose not to be apart of that.

I will however continue to play the game and enjoy the content that i payed for when I was happy to support the company. As soon as they start treating customers like there life blood instead again of dollar signs I'll be more than happy to give them my money until then I won't be. That's just how i feel.

Sorry if you are an employ or fan boy but compare past to present and at least to me something has gone to Riots head.

Staying for all of all of eternity That or until blade and soul comes out on live patch in winter this year. THEN IM DONE IM OUTIE TIME GO TO PLAY B&S and be top 100 assassin on the server in pvp 1v1's and become a god. And then retire.
