I tried jungle GP. With my Maokai's generous leash of 1 AA, I was unable to take my redbuff, untill level 3 (smited when I attemted to take it at level 2) It gets better once you get rolling though

Gankplank is pretty bad, but not as bad a you would think. Get your smite item, for the extra gold and XP, then get item 3078 , item 3031 , and then getitem 1400 . After that, you can go item 3158, item 3046 and finish off your build with either a item 3812 or a item 3087. You have sustain with your W, clears with your barrrrels, although your ganks are subpar and he needs gold to get rolling, which is why people generally play him in a lane instead of in the jungle.
