well actually, he never really dies. He just goes in the ground and hides then comes back up when the coast is clear.

The answer to saving the scuttle crab is 
she can put the crab into a sphere of safety, and when danger has passed release back into the river so that he may continue to wander, until the team need vision coverage over baron or drag, then we delightfully give the little guy a

Scuttle crab doesn't die at all it just goes in the ground as a ward then it comes back a few minutes later.
