Yes this is correct, now let me ask you, which type of players would have a better opinion of Riven? Those who play her or those who don't? The people who don't play Riven are just ignorant about her strengths and weaknesses which makes her seem OP to the ignorant eye. However, to the Riven mains who understand her, are aware that she isn't as OP as everyone item 3070 's about.

Just because you people don't get how to counter play her, doesn't make her OP it just means you're lacking in judgement. Also those who don't play Riven can't really disagree with this cause as a Riven main I know for a fact that there are LOTS of ways to shut her down. So unless a Riven main comes to try to explain how she's OP I'll gladly prove them wrong. You guys keep going on and on about how OP she is and want convenient nerfs to come about just to cover for YOUR inability to play against her. So unless you can give me some solid facts of her "OPness" then quiet down and stay in your place.

You make it sound like it's some kind of sin. Are you that much of an extremist? The end matter is, I hate Riven. I don't like fighting Riven and I don't like looking at Riven. Just like I hate Vayne, Teemo, Nidalee, Zed, Kat, and so on. Just like how people hate Yi, Vi, Darius, Kalista, Lee Sin, and so on and so forth. We all have champs that we despise going into Lane against. What I hate is when I play someone I want to play and have fun with, but in the end I get laned against someone like Teemo who just bullies me out of lane or like Riven who goes Ham the entire time. I don't want to lane against these champs, I don't want to PLAY these champs, so WHY would I spend any amount of currency on them?

And believe me, I've heard many counter arguments. "Oh! CC is her weakness." ...So is everyone else's barring Olaf and Sion and that requires an Ult. "Just gank her." Again, almost everyone's weakness.

Her kit is, when looked at from a general perspective. 2 escapes, one provides bonus defense and the other goes over walls. Two forms of CC, (her Q knockup and her stun), and, as I've mentioned before, an Ult that gives her whole kit a buff plus a ranged execute capable of wiping the floor with everyone on the enemy team after a team fight or during. She's a monstrosity. She doesn't even have a RESOURCE! It's incredible amounts of annoying to deal with her unless you're Garen. Garen is her main counter, but I don't want to have to play garen every game just to deal with a wayward Riven.

Also, if I may add, out of everyone I've faced up top, Riven is the one who most frequently, if she doesn't get some form of a lead as soon as possible, will leave her lane and bully Mid lane as much as possible. Riven players are sad, desperate people who countless times have taunted, insulted, cried, whined, and complained mid game. They're toxic. If a RIven gets ahead, get ready for laughs, taunts, smack talk, the works. If they fall behind, they start getting p*ssed at their own teammates.

You may not be like those people, but you're still here. And it looks like you have a mini swarm of other like-minded people just down/upvoting posts and not adding anything.

If you don't like it then learn her, or stay forever getting Riven one-shoted. From what you said, JUST because you don't "like" her you refuse to play her, in other words you refuse to expand your knowledge about the game, and explore your enemies territory. People like you don't even deserve to complain.

You obviously think that the players that do play her have a better opinion, cause that is the group you are in. Both sides are equally tainted in prospective, so this argument does not work. You are just as bad as the people you are taunting with this thread.

Rivian's kit does have major problems and the only reason riot is not addressing it cause it fails so hard at silver bronze. The fact that Riv players say do not engage her is a joke; why bother playing then?

The answer of team work is not really an answer and only take X champs is just as stupid. She is problematic champ that like lee needs to be look at by the champ up team eventually. IE she is either to strong or to weak.

There is no flaw, and people who play her DO have a better perspective because playing her frequently gets you to know her strengths and weaknesses better. Both sides AREN'T equally tainted in perspective and that's reality. If you had read throughout the thread you would of seen me say this already, making me repeat is such a pain... The people who don't play Riven are just ignorant about her strengths and weaknesses which makes her seem OP to the ignorant eye. In the end pal, you're just like any other player that defends his favorite character, just like campers in FPS games try to justify their strategy of remaining perfectly still. They think it's fun. I have to do this due to her snowballing capabilities. So, I complain. Oh well.

That reminds me, why do people become such massive anuses when they start winning in a match? Why taunt your fellow players? Especially during normal matches. No...border...I've been playing LoL for about two years now, kinda off and on. Here's the thing...I don't play ranked. I don't play for ranks since they're pointless to me. I just like to play casually and for fun. SO in the end, I may not be the best at the game, far from it, but I'm not an a**hole when I play. You seem to look down on everyone who isn't you so I think in the end that makes me the better person.

look my man people hate champions and when she snowball there is 0 stuff you can do about and the counter play she has is the same as most snowball champions and i do play riven (havent in a while) and dont try defending her its the same thing happen to vayne lee sin yasuo and Zed people dont what to play these champions because they are 1. Hard 2. people hate these champions so they just dont what to play them 3. dosnt what to play the champion and her counter play is flashing over her Ult Q or her W when she has her abilitys on cooldowns she is useless if your not under half health and if its not a pro really good riven her late game dmg not that high if you dont use your full combo witch you cant because of CC and you cant E when you get hit by a morg Q or a point and click snares

I play riven and think she is OP. She has an unfair advantage to cancel animations when there is a significant reason that the cast times are there. She has the ability to skirmish extremely well with no resources and has the ability to team fight extremely well with her oversized ultimate hitboxes.

AD Scaling shield 4 Low CDR dashes, most of them doing damage with an AD steroid. AOE Damage on all of her abilities AD steroid on ult with AOE damage Her shield is also a dash because why not? More

I don't think she is OP, I just think that her kit is overloaded and can be broken. Extreme mobility with a kit that makes your accidents turn into kills is not healthy for the game and to be honest the entire idea of "Survive" isn't really cool either. I can survive her lane, yeah. But with like 3-4 champions and 2 of those are actually in my champion pool. "Buht suhbject phive, git g00d and lern those champions." Professionals at the LCS and worlds have a limit in champion pools they can play against people in similar skill level.

But on the bright side Riven isn't the problem anymore! Now that garen does above 1K true damage with his ult that is also an execution and Darius hugging people to death, Riven is nowhere to be seen!

I played Riven in PVP once. The enemy Garen destroyed me. Then he added me after the game, told me he was a Riven main and we had a 1v1 match, he as Riven, me as Garen.

I know a bit about how Riven works, thanks to that player >.>

Whether or not a champion is OP, there are some that are fun to play against, fun to play with, and unfun for either/both. :V

It's not a balance issue if a champion is fine in terms of power but unfun to play against, it's most of a player opinion kind of thing. From a business standpoint, both are pretty important.

But you know what?

Riven and Garen have one thing going one. When either of them get fed, it's a pain in the ass and you want to ff@20, but taking them down as a team feels so rewarding. It's like Dark Souls, the catharsis factor after some masochistic gameplay is so worth it.

So in other words, Riven being unfun to play against also makes her fun to play against, in a weird roundabout sorta way. But she isn't OP, at least I don't think she is.

Well, if I understood Correctly most posts in this Topic, Seems like People who have issues with Riven want her nerfed, by following that way of thinking, should I start asking for nerfs to Master Yi, Since I almost always got issues with Him? I Believe not, Since my main Issue with him, is keeping up with his Q, Due to his fast movement(and the fact that due to my bad luck, he always end up in my face), so People who want Riven Nerfed, there are 2 basic paths you can follow, Learn how to deal with her, or keep being Rivenfood, Im trying to learn how to deal with Master Yi, and Im starting to not die instantly when I face him.
