League of Legends Open World RPG?

I love League of Legends and it's not just because of the gameplays. It's because of the very champions that we play. Their look, their lore, their characteristics and behaviors. It's cool.

I was looking at gameplay walkthroughs for 3D third-person action/adventure RPG Open World video games like God of War, Assassins Creed and the like. Video games that have "STORY MODE/Single-player mode" in it, ya know? I began to wonder what it would be like to play as champions like Diana, Katarina, Ashe, or Tryndamere in video games like the ones previously mentioned.

Imagine being able to openly explore, in third-person POV, Runeterra. To be able to travel from Noxus to Freljord or wherever by foot, beast and carriage, boat, etc. To be able to make your favorite champions walk/run/sprint, grab/pick up/throw/put down, punch, kick, headbutt, roll, dodge, guard, block, counterattack, crouch, stab/swing, shoot, aim, climb up/down, hang off of a ledge, leap from rooftop to rooftop, ride a horse, talk to townspeople, upgrade the character(champions) equipment, weapons, speed, strength, power, health, defense. The list goes on.

It could spread League of Legends to game consoles like Playstation or Xbox.

The champions could go on a whole new adventure, teaming up with other champions in certain areas of Runeterra and fighting against other champions (boss fights?) in certain areas of Runeterra.

Imagine a game where the main plot has alternative endings and one true ending (A little like Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII) and which one you get depends on the choices you make in the game.

Example: Katarina Scenario: Katarina entered into Demacia lands in search for some answers as to the whereabouts of her father. Immediately, she is confronted by Garen and although she told him her visit here wasn't for Noxus but for herself and didn't intend to shed blood unless provoked, Garen, not believing a word Katarina said, stated he will be taking her captive due to her being Noxian and trespassing on Demacian grounds. Of course this leads to a champion vs champion (boss or mini boss) fight. Once Garen's life bar is depleted, a scene will play where Garen is weaponless and helpless and Katarina stands above him with a blade in her hand and a decision to make.

A.) Spare Garen's life, which could lead to an ending where (least likely to happen) she leaves Noxus and joins Demacia as an assassin. B.) Kill Garen, which could lead to an ending where (most likely to happen) she stays with Noxus and an all out war breaks out between Noxus and Demacia. C.) She knocks him unconscious and ties him up somewhere, which could lead to an ending where (maybe, maybe not) she leaves Noxus, but doesn't join another faction. Nuetral/Solo Katarina.

Not the best example, but you catch my drift, right?

I'm thinking they are working on an MMO and have been for awhile.

I would prefer you created your own character and you interacted with the other characters. You can start you play through, but picking a nation and your role in that nation (like in Dragon Age Origins). While this makes it hard to give free choice (since the lore is set in stone) and is likely to not be as compelling of a story because you can't choose your character, I think it would be much more immersive. In the end it would depend on genre, but I think a good one would be the MMO-lite genre (Destiny, Division, Anthem, etc.) while I know these games have a bad-rep I think that having a fantasy version of these games is unique enough that Riot might have itself a niche in the market.

At this point, Riot is no longer an indie company. They could afford to make full length AAA games based off of small groups of champions with a character selection and/or creation option.

While factions like Noxus are too big and diverse to have a single coherent game built around them, the smaller factions fit in that theme. (And I'd suggest cutting thier teeth on a smaller faction like the Freljord or Bilgewater champions).

They could do well to branch into single player sagas, mmos, or even small group action adventure or arpgs.

I want to sandbox Piltover as Camille , or Dynasty Warriors some Darius ! [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]
