In my first Varus adc game, I met a Braum. He was flaming in all chat to report his team.

I never knew it was possible up until that day. The enemy Orianna mid was nice though so that was good

I always mute team mates that are overly "friendly" in the first minutes of the game, those people are chatty, and that chattiness 95% of my experience = toxic at first mistakes.

Then I'm afraid you're missing out on some of the most fun games. There's a decent number of us that chat and try to make things silly/fun just to establish a positive tone for the entire game. It doesn't always work, but it makes for some hilarious and friendly games.
