My personal preference is to ping since I don't find typing to be super efficient. I've actually been in the middle of typing a couple times when I get attacked so my chat box ends up as "focus vaynqqqqqqqqqqwewwqwwewqqqqq" and I die.
I don't mind it if the pings are meaning something, but when they ping you 50 times to retreat while you are already retreating, now that is truly annoying.
I hate players like them….
I like to only use pings, but that is cause I have dyslexia, so typing legibly, fast is not a thing for me.
It depends.
If that said player is doing exceptionally well and is cooperative non-verbally, then it doesn't bother me. If the player is lousy and doesn't communicate, though, it does bother me.
