it wasn't even that people were offended if I'm not incorrect it was because of the strict laws of a certain country (I think it was china) about having tobacco use in game. So although the video itself was fine the actual game isn't allowed to show graves or anyone else with a cigar.

the old karthus was different in china than in the US. part of the reason for the urgency in his VU over other outdated toons is because riot wanted uniformity.

Not sure about that. Male characters are sometimes sexualized, but not as much as female. That's why I used "oversexualized".

I dont get why they removed it theres no reason to. we will all just complain till we get the cigar. It's not promoting to smoke it's a game and a character. It's the most viewed league of legends video on youtube and he has a cigar so why did they remove it ffs

It was because a section of their players have something in either their culture or religion that makes the cigar a problem. It wasn't for no reason, they just don't want to lose a large part of their player base for what's ultimately unnecessary on a southern shotgun touting bad ass. I suggest they give him the Runeterra equivalent of chewing tobacco and add a spitting animation to a taunt.
