Funny thing is these events often overshadow what should be (IMO) more important things, like VGU releases.

My biggest problem is they release these "Prestige" skins that basically impossible to grind out unless you no life 24/7 play the game, meaning most people who want one actually have to spend around $100. $100 for a skin that in most cases looks worse than the normal version and comes with less animations/special things than an Ultimate skin. 3x the price of an Ultimate Skin for less. Its unbelieve how many braindead people buy into Prestige skins when they have no where near the features of other skins. Same with hextech skins except those are even more of a rip off if you were to buy boxes and keys til you got enough gemstones (around $250-300 on average from what ive seen.)
Idk what changed with Riot over the past couple years but their greed has sky rocketed to EA levels recently and thats just sad.
And the constant prestige skins, ugh. They should at least have a two week gap between events.

Well there's always been a majority of idiots in the world. Lots of people apparently pay for these things to warrant a new prestige skin every single month.
I just play normally and use the tokens to unlock one of those emotes, some keys or perhaps a random skin shard. I'll be playing the game anyway, but no way i'm buying anything with their current business practices. It's going downhill fast and i can't see the company lasting very long at this rate. The desperation for money has to be caused by something.
It would probably help if his eyeballs weren't the only things keeping his sunglasses on his face lmao
Honestly i dont see a problem, my sibling just started playing and the constant events are giving him chance to buy champion shards and get free stuff for his account so its really helping him out plus i like getting free skins!

These aren't events, these are ways to force you to spend $15 each month. It's basically a soft subscription service to gain access to exclusive content.
Want these chromas or icons? Sorry, they're locked behind a $15 pass = "Event"
I personally don't mind the events. It's true they don't individually feel special but I do like that with the current league tendency to make everything cost an arm and a leg, some free stuff for simply playing feels pretty good. I get a new skin or two every event without having to invest money and I don't hate that.
