In all honesty tank fights are the most skilled kind of battles. Well not specifically tanks but healthy champions fighting each other because it requires actual management in the fight to win. Samething can be said about support fights and I mean real supports not a full AP Lux with a sightstone.

When you compare assassins vs assassins, mages vs mages or ADC vs ADC you normally end up with one person taking one step out of position then being blown up before they can respond.

Your comment reminds me of a duel I once had during Wrath Era as a Death Knight.

I went up against a Prot pally as our leader went to find more members to fill our Ulduar raid. I was blood spec tank, rather than the typical frost (still used Frost Aura).

We dueled for 30 minutes straight. I was unable to kill him and he was unable to kill me. He had me down below 40% once, the rest of the time was me keeping him under 30% and myself near full.

After 10 minutes, someone asked: "Are they still going at it?" "Yeah, they never finished the duel." 20 minutes: "I'm so thankful these guys are the tanks. One won't die to stupid and the other seems like he can't die."

At 30 minutes: "Guys, this raid isn't happening. Sorry." Paladin turns around and his resurrection thing pops once more before losing in a graceful surrender.

Paladin: "Dude, normally I don't have to work so hard to stay alive."

Not going to lie, I have little to no idea what you're talking about. But it still does sound impressive. The longest fight I've ever had was a terrible numbers miscalculations when playing Halo. Accidentally boosted each teams health and shield regeneration by 1000%. We all quickly ran out of ammo and had to resort to our fists. Our shields would recharge before we could kill each other.

From afar it looked like a never ending musket charge gone wrong.
